The Vertex in astrology, similar to the Ascendant, is a time-sensitive point, and hence, the accuracy of birth data is crucial to determining its position. However, in rare cases, its position can shift to the fourth or ninth house, depending on the birth location. The Vertex is usually located on the western side of the chart in the vicinity of the Descendant, namely the fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth houses. The Vertex is the point of intersection in the west and, thus, is opposite the point of intersection in the east, known as the AntiVertex. The prime vertical is the great circle on the celestial sphere passing perpendicular to the horizon, intersecting the ecliptic in its east and west points. The Vertex is a sensitive point in an astrological chart that represents the intersection of the ecliptic and the prime vertical in the west.
